Jenny Lake-Grand Tetons Wyoming. Took a ferry boat ride across Jenny Lake and made an easy 1.5 mile hike to this spot known as Hidden Falls. A very large and powerful waterfall.

Shoshone Falls in Twin Falls Idaho. I have been to Twin Falls twice before but only explored the western part of the Snake River and so never knew about this set of waterfalls which is on the eastern portion of the river.

~ Sol Duc Falls ~

Sol Duc Falls in Crescent Washington When I was here last time in April of 2011, I could not get access to the falls as they closed the gates due to too much snow. This time it was beautiful and perfect for shooting stream/forest shots, overcast with a few misty showers. Overcast weather is good for photographing forests and streams as it acts like a giant light filter and gets rid of direct sunlight which can be harsh and unattractive and it also gives a natural saturation boost to the colors.

~ Palouse Falls ~

This is Palouse Falls outside of Pasco Washington. The clouds were agreeable with me this time. As we drove here, the sky was filled with beautiful white puffy clouds which told me I might get a really good sunset shot. As I found the right spot to set up for the shot and waited, the clouds moved away and I was getting worried. But then a new batch moved in and lit up very nice as the sun dipped below the horizon behind me.

~ Sol Duc River ~

This is a nice little area of the Sol Duc River on the trail to Sol Duc Falls. This is in the Olympic National Forest in Washington. Love the green in the water. The hike to the falls was beautiful and green and wet. Reminded us of Jurassic Park.
